Childless Couples More Likely to Die Early

Professor Esben Agerbo and colleagues from the Aarhus University, Denmark, have been claiming that a couple, if fails to conceive even with the IVF treatment, is more likely to face early death.

Population registers for some 21,000 Danish couples, who were seeking IVF, were reviewed thoroughly by the team. It was found that women who still remained unable to give birth to a child, were almost four folds more risked at dying early.

However, women, who could then conceive were less likely to die early. The researchers also noted that men failing to conceive were two times more likely to face early death as compared to their counterparts who did conceive.

It is being said that undiagnosed health issues may be a contributory factor for early death. Also, marital breakup, education as well as income might play a part in some cases at some point. Since, one's income may decide how many times he could receive IVF treatments. High mortality rates but were found the most in childless couples.

'People having IVF become desperate for a child, if they are unsuccessful they may be depressed - it may even be this rather than childlessness that is playing a part", consult psychologist Ingrid Collins was quoted as explaining.

  1. Yes various researches showed that age of childless couples is less than those couples who have kids. I think to kids are must to live a healthy life.
